L2A Cooling with CoolEdge™

CoolEdge™ by DCTS

CoolEdge™ is DCTS’s advanced L2A sidecar / rear-door CDU solution, developed for high-density AI infrastructure, HPC environments, and modern data centers that require scalable, rack-adjacent liquid cooling. Designed to bring cooling closer to the heat source, CoolEdge™ supports more efficient thermal management, flexible deployment planning, and better white-space utilization for both new installations and retrofit projects. 


Built as a scalable product platform, CoolEdge™ is available across a wide performance range from 120 to 2000, allowing operators to match cooling capacity to different rack densities and deployment architectures. Across the product range, the system supports structured primary and secondary loop control, with defined inlet/outlet temperatures, circulation flow rates, available lift ranges, and integrated control functions for precise thermal management. 

For high-density applications, CoolEdge™ is engineered to combine cooling performance with intelligent system control. The platform includes monitoring for primary and secondary side temperatures and pressures, variable-frequency pump suction pressure, variable-frequency input percentage, and electric valve output percentage, while built-in protection functions include main/standby pump overload protection, power failure protection, and continuous monitoring of operating conditions. 


CoolEdge™ delivers up to 135 kW nominal cooling capacity at 12°C approach temperature, with additional nominal ratings of 125 kW at 10.5°C and 120 kW at 10°C. This model features 14 fans, maximum air flow of 25,600 m³/h, 2+1 pump redundancy, PG25 process coolant, process coolant temperatures up to 65°C, and Modbus RTU, TCP/IP, and SNMP communication, making it well suited for robust, high-availability liquid cooling deployments. 


CoolEdge™ is also designed with maintainability and operational safety in mind. Depending on configuration, the system supports a broad range of footprints and capacities, and includes features such as water leak detection, temperature and pressure sensors, 38 μm filtration on the standard 135 model, and flexible system connection options to support practical integration into demanding facility environments.
